The whirlwind

As we parted, he acted like a true gentleman and offered to walk me to the car, gentleman or not I was not interested after I had seen the wedding band on his finger.

Getting home I settled into prrforming my home chores, as someone who didnt have that special person in their lives, my phone had been thrown in my room along with my books from the library, uninterested in it.

While getting ready for bed, I looked at my phone and I had a dozen missed calls from R the library man,   Quite irritated I put my phone away and dozed off.

The journey...

2010 was a good year for South Africa and a good year for me!

In the sandton library minding my own business, a dashing young man approached me, we made small talk for a few minutes. Then he makes a request, "may I please leave my laptop with you for a few minutes I need to dash out"

Now South Africa is a country plagued with so much crime, in my mind I ask myself in my native language " zvivindhi zveyi mukomana uyu kuda kundisiira laptop yake". I question myself is this stolen property!

I reluctantly agree, but ask " what if when you return I am gone with your laptop" he says well please give me your number so I can call you if the need arises.

And that is how it started...
